Job description

Quality Engineer

32-40 uur

Veloretti was founded in Amsterdam in 2012 with the mission to deliver clean, timeless, high-quality bicycles at a fair price. More than a decade later, Veloretti has grown into one of Europe's leading direct-to-consumer bicycle brands, offering bikes for the whole family: from children's bikes and city bikes, to our Electric Ivy and Ace. Cycling is the future. We believe in that and strive to pass it on to the next generations.

Veloretti has been part of Pon.Bike, the leading family of bicycle brands worldwide, since 2022. With this support, we can continue to develop our design and products, take even better care of our riders - and ensure that their bikes stay on the road.

For the Quality department, we are looking for a Quality Engineer who wants to grow with us. We are looking for an ambitious colleague who wants to fill this role with a lot of energy. In this scale-up organization, part of Pon.Bike, no day is the same!

What will you do as a Quality Engineer?

You are responsible for ensuring consistent quality of the delivered products, contributing to the corrective and preventive resolution of quality issues and reduction of warranty costs. You are involved in the entire value chain; from design to suppliers, from assemblers to customer experience. You report to the General Manager of Veloretti, and have very regular contact with the Global Director Quality Pon.Bike. You work closely with the Product, Operations and Customer Care team at Veloretti and make use of the experience of the other Pon.Bike brands.

  • Is (jointly) responsible for realizing quality improvement processes with regard to products and processes.
  • Provides (un)requested advice for the product and/or process based on quality research.
  • Is aware of changing and/or new international laws and regulations, informs the relevant departments of this and translates this into test standards and quality requirements if necessary.
  • Setting up and processing deviation reports and 8Ds.
  • Monitoring and analyzing Field Quality data.
  • Reports to internal and external stakeholders on quality problems and their status.
  • Preparing claims to suppliers in collaboration with Procurement.

  • At least completed HBO education (preferably Mechanical Engineering and Technical Business Administration);
  • At least 4 years of work experience in the field of quality assurance, preferably in a technical production environment and/or complex consumer environment;
  • Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
  • Preferably knowledge of bicycle and/or metal technology;
  • Already living in the Netherlands.

And do you recognize yourself in?

  • You have strong communication skills and are able to hold your own between the various internal and external stakeholders;
  • A team player who also actively seeks cooperation;
  • You have good analytical skills;
  • You can work independently;
  • You are result-oriented and goal-oriented;
  • Self-confident, social and optimistic are your DNA.

What's in it for you?

So what else is in it for you? At Veloretti, you will work for a well-known consumer brand, and you can see the results of your work riding through the city every day. You will be part of a fast, internationally growing company where you will learn from the mistakes we make and the successes we achieve.

Because we are currently growing, you will always be involved in more than just your job responsibilities. You will work alongside creative and driven colleagues who will help you grow to the next level.
